Hey look, double-digits! They just keeping moving along. Thanks for joining Luke and Naomi again!

A big congratulations to Ralph! Ralph, a longtime listener of Luke and Naomi On-Air (even back in their Roswell, New Mexico days), and winner of many “Listener of the Day” awards, had the closest guess to how much gas cost Luke and Naomi during their vacation to New York. His guess was less than a dollar off! Check out Podcast Episode 9 to hear all the guesses and Ralph’s answer.

Luke has another segment of “This Week in Science.” He talks about the James Webb Telescope and the crazy pictures that were just released. The duo also talk about all the memes that have come from these pictures, because that’s what we do as a society now. Everything is up to become a meme! More science news, Luke also mentions Thor… Okay, so that’s not science news, it’s just Luke’s cheesy segue into talking about the new movie.

Luke and Naomi made their way to the theaters to watch “Thor: Love and Thunder,” and the two discuss their feelings on the film. Luke says he thinks the movie was cute, hilarious, and was just a good movie. He also wanted to stick up for the movie after many negative comments and bad reviews online. Naomi mentions this movie had a little more of a dark side, and is wondering if Tim Burton was involved.

Naomi goes on a rant… But it’s a good one! She was an adult a couple of days ago and made her way to the Department of Motor Vehicles. We all love to make our jokes about how horrible the DMV is, and we all have our personal horror stories. Naomi even tries to sum up her and Luke’s adventures at the DMV in Roswell, that cost them hours out of their day and most of their sanity. BUT, her time at the DMV in Wilmington was actually good! It was efficient, everyone was so happy, it was an unbelievable experience! Crazy.

Luke and Naomi discuss fast food including their favorite places. After their recent trip to New York, Naomi got to enjoy her favorite – Tim Hortons. Luke talks about traveling away from Wilmington and missing Bojangles. But now they want to know about you! Which fast food joint is the absolute best? Which place are you driving out of your way to make sure you get their fries or that burger?

The answers HAD to be about fast food, no mom-and-pop shops or restaurants, greasy grab-and-go options only. Luke says before Bojangles, his fast food guilty pleasure would have been Wendy’s. They go over some listener answers including Erin who says Taco Villa is her fast food choice. She even gives Luke and Naomi the description of what she’s ordering. The food talk doesn’t stop. Thrillist released a story about the top fast food establishments and restaurant chains based on their customer satisfaction, and the duo knew they had to discuss these results. McDonald’s ranks at the bottom of their list (Naomi apologizes, but we know how she really feels). Popeye’s was next, second-to-the-bottom, then Taco Bell! Luke and Naomi go through the full list, which includes Subway, Burger King, Five Guys, and more. Who took the top spot? It’s not a place Luke would ever guess!
