Luke and Naomi On Air

We’re back! We took a couple weeks off to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and to prolong us to getting to episode 50! Thanks for joining us again for Luke and Naomi On-Air: The Podcast.

We took a little break so we have a lot more to catch you up on, compared to the usual week. First, we had a couple of beach days within the last few weeks – The weather finally turned nice. And our waters here have been beautiful! We’re getting multiple shades of blue and green, similar to the waters we saw on our cruise in March.

We also had a wonderful dinner at a restaurant we had never been before in Carolina Beach called “Soul Flavor.” Phenomenal.

And there was a beer club meeting, where we got together with some of our close Wilmington friends and sampled a variety of beers, discussing the beers and catching up in our personal lives.

But the big news was celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary. We took a trip to Myrtle Beach! Naomi had never been, and Luke had been a long time ago, but was ready to re-live those moments and share them with his wife. They checked out the aquarium, got tasty treats, visited some shops, and Naomi even faced her fear and rode the Giant Ferris Wheel. They also walked along the beach, got some dinner on the pier, and played mini-golf. Check out some of the pictures of our adventures below:

Alright, back to Podcast Episode 49! “Brian from England” listened to our last Under a Rock Review of “Braveheart,” and has some great information about the real William Wallace, and gives us a little history. Luke also your random facts – Your weekly dose of “Did You Know,” and they’re Father’s Day-themed, seeing as we just passed the holiday. Happy Father’s Day!

We also talk about those goofy taste-testing jobs that will pay you like, $1,000 a week for you to taste their products (which they provide to you, as well), and review them. We decided it’s worth it to apply to some of those jobs – What’s the worst that can happen? They say no? Why not have the chance to get a bunch of free food and get paid to do it?!

We discuss skills from the 90s and earlier that are now becoming obsolete, and we go over your answers from our last Facebook topic – “Your senior prank stories.” Hear all the answers and get more details on all these stories in the podcast video below.

And of course, we have another “Under a Rock Review” for you. This week, Naomi watches “Short Circuit” for the first time. What did she think of the movie? And what strange scene could she just NOT get over? Find out in this week’s podcast episode below:
