We made it through a year of episodes… Even though it took us like two years to get to Episode 52. Thanks for joining us for another installment of Luke and Naomi On-Air: The Podcast.
We jump into this episode with a comment from one of our listeners. Actually, it ties back to the “Top 10 Disney Villains” we talked about last week. “Mrs. Snowman,” the wife of our long-time New Mexico listener “Snowman,” wrote in to let us know what she agreed with and disagreed with on the list. It’s very thought-out and we know as a Disney Adult, she would not steer us wrong. She also fills us in about Scar – Mufasa’s brother in the Lion King. DId Scar eat Mufasa?! There’s a video circulating online with pieces of the movie and what could possibly be proof of the cannibalism. But Mrs. Snowman weighs in… Hear her answer (and more of her Disney villian rundown) in the podcast episode at the bottom of this page.
We talk about our weekend – another beer club with our friends, having a couple of adult sodas and discussing those beverages we were partaking in. And we also made our way to Live Oak Bank Pavilion in downtown Wilmington for a concert. We saw The Barenaked Ladies. It was a great show! They performed many of their favorites, free-styled a song about Wilmington, performed Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off,” and even sang the song they wrote for the TV Show, “The Big Bang Theory.” Did you know that had more verses than what you hear on TV?!
Of course we have your random facts – Your weekly dose of “Did You Know,” we go over your answers from last week’s Facebook topic “If ketchup doesn’t exist, what are you putting on your french fries.” And we have another Under a Rock Review. This time, Naomi watches the Sci-fi/Horror film from 1979, “Alien.” Did it hold up 40-plus years later? What did she like about it? And what about the cat?!
