More Interesting Terms for “Drunk,” Hiccups and a Billion Dollars, and Naomi’s Under a Rock Review of “The Usual Suspects” | Podcast Episode 70

Glass of beer

Hey! Welcome back to another episode of Luke and Naomi On-Air: The Podcast. Happy Episode 70!

We’ve got a lot coming up on the show today, so let’s dive right in!

We get things moving with “546 words for the term ‘drunk’,” and no we’re not going through the whole list, but we do have some fun with this one. You know the obvious ones – Smashed, toasted, inebriated, and all that. But how about “pickled?” Or “sozzled?” Check out our other favorite alternative words for “drunk,” in the podcast video at the bottom of this page.

We also put in you in a bad situation – And want to hear your answers! Here’s the scenario: You are given a coin to flip. Tails – You get a billion dollars. Heads – You have continuous hiccups for the rest of your life. If you don’t flip the coin, you get both – a billion dollars and hiccups for the rest of your life. What do you do? Naomi is quick with her answer, but Luke tries to talk her out of it.

Of course we have your weekly dose of “Did You Know,” some random facts to get you through to the next episode (although we do need to come up with a new name for it… It’s not always “weekly,” sometimes we take breaks). We also go over the answers from last episode’s unique topic of “ruin a wish,” which ended up being a lot of fun!

And as always, we have another “Under a Rock Review” for you. This time Naomi sits down and takes some deep notes on “The Usual Suspects.” What did she think going into this movie? Did she enjoy it? And did she predict the twist? Find out these answers and more, in this week’s podcast episode video here:
