Luke and Naomi On Air

Hello and welcome to episode 74 of Luke and Naomi On-Air: The Podcast. Once again, thanks for joining us!

We have a lot in store for today, so let’s jump right in! We start with our recap of the week, which includes the details of Luke’s birthday. We celebrated by heading downtown for the “Alt-zelea Festival.” So, every spring, downtown Wilmington holds the Azalea Festival with music and food, artwork and culture, and all things Wilmington. “Alt-zelea Festival” is a music festival hosted by different bars and venues in the Brooklyn Arts District of Wilmington, happening at the same time (well, one of the days of the Azalea Festival). It was a LOT of fun! We had the opportunity to check out a lot of the establishments in that area that we had never been to, all while listening to some really awesome local music.

The big news this week is, it’s been announced that a second “Happy Gilmore” movie is being made. Adam Sandler has mentioned that the goal is to bring back as many people as they can from the original cast. Shooter McGavin has already been confirmed to be in the sequel.

And we talk about Princess Cruises and their “unique job” you can apply for. We love sharing stories like this – Get paid $100,000 a year to taste test candy, or Make $20,000 a month running the social media account of a cereal brand. Well, Princess Cruises is looking to pay someone to test out their casino experience on one of their latest ships. Get the full story in the podcast episode below!

We kick off your Facebook topic for next week – “If you were to take your non-dominant hand and replace it with a robot hand, what gadget would you include on the robot hand?” We’re looking forward to your answers next week! And we go over the answers from last week’s topic which was inspired by Naomi’s expensive purchase of a nearly $100 bottle of beer – “What’s something you’ll splurge on, just for yourself?” Had some great answers to this question, including Brandy mentioning spending $130 on an autographed EP and Dan saying he splurges on everything camping-related.

And of course we have another “Under a Rock Review” for you. George Clooney, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, Casey Affleck, Bernie Mac, and more star in this heist movie (with some comedy), “Ocean’s Eleven.” What did Naomi think of the movie?
