Hey! It’s Luke and Naomi On-Air. Welcome to another episode of our podcast – Episode 75. Thanks for joining us!
Gooooooooooodddd Mooooooooooooorrrrrnnnniiiiiiiiiiiinnnnggggggg…. Everyone! Do we have a show for you! And a fantastic review, but we’ll get to that in just a moment.
We kick things off with an introduction… of ourselves! Luke realized that we don’t really mention who we are or what we’re doing, which is fine if you have been with us since the beginning, but if this is your first episode, you may be a little lost. We also recap the last week (which was pretty simple because we didn’t do much), and we foreshadow some events to come, including a beer pilgrimage to Asheville, North Carolina.
We discuss the Nationwide (yes, the insurance company) annual contest of wacky pet names. Some of our favorites included “spicy beef purrito” and “Molly from Corporate.” Check out more of the goofy names (for both cats and dogs) in the podcast video at the bottom of this page.
We also go through a list of things you may or may not do, but will probably make you feel old. Doing things like eating Tums like candy. That’s right, we all need to have those chalky treats for heartburn now. How about making a noise when you sit down or when you get up? That’s a sign that you’re getting older. Starting random conversations with strangers in public. Does that sound like you? I know I felt personally attacked by that one (hey, I’m just being friendly). There’s more to that list – If you dare, in the podcast episode below.
Of course we have your recurrent dose of “Did You Know,” those random facts, we go over your answers from last week’s Facebook topic “What gadget would you put on your hand, if your non-dominant hand was replaced with a robot hand,” and we launch a new topic that takes you back in time. And this time, we want stories! The setup is you’re immortal, but you’re sent back in time like 3,000 years. What do you do? Do you claim land and start an empire? Do you lay low? We want to hear your plans. We’ll go over the answers in our next podcast.
And as always, like every podcast episode (at least since episode 25 or 24, or something), Naomi sits down to watch another movie that everyone has seen, except her. This week, it’s the Robin Williams classic “Good Morning, Vietnam.” How does someone who has spent their career in radio, not seen this movie?! Well, she finally does. But does she like it? Would she recommend it to someone else who hasn’t seen it? Get those answers and more, in podcast episode 75, right here:
