Welcome to another segment of Sips and Snacks, where we make our way to Fermental in Wilmington, and meet with Ashley Rogers, who pairs a beer and a wine with a snack of our choosing.

In this episode of Sips and Snacks, we bring a crunchy, delicious snack, that many of us enjoyed for breakfast as a kid – Lucky Charms. Now, this may seem like a unique snack to be focusing on, but be honest, how many times have you just wanted a quick bite, something crunchy and sweet, and pulled out a box of cereal from the cupboard and grabbed a handful? Whether it’s Lucky Charms or another cereal, those yummy oats and sugary sweetness, always makes a good snack choice. Which is why we decided to pick a cereal for this episode’s snack choice. And if it’s going to be cereal, it might as well be a good one with oats AND marshmallows!

So let’s see what Ashley Rogers suggests! What beer and wine does he pick to pair with this delicious snack? And be ready for a little bit of a curve ball – We’re going to have two different beers that we pair (don’t worry, Ashley still gives his recommendation if you want to pair wine with your cereal), AND we’re going to pour some beer into our cereal. The caramel vanilla coffee blonde ale and the cereal worked SO well together, and the belgian sour beer really complimented the oats of the Lucky Charms. Give it a try for yourself, and let us know what you think! And if you’re up for it, grab that sweet riesling, and try the wine pairing.
