Can you believe it?! We are almost to triple-digits. Welcome to Episode 92 of Luke and Naomi On-Air: The Podcast. Thanks for joining us.
If you’re new to Luke and Naomi On-Air, welcome! We are a married radio morning show team that have brought our show from the radiowaves to the internet waves. The show consists of a lot of our morning show bits – we have a weekly topic, various stories, and we have Naomi’s Under a Rock Review, where she watches classic movies that everyone has seen, and reviews them! We’re talking classics like, “Ghostbusters,” “The Shining,” “Braveheart,” and more. And we have another great review coming up in this episode.
The football season has started, so we decided to cover some crazy food you can get a NFL Stadiums around the country. How does a pizza burger sounds? It’s a burger, but the buns of the burger are two small pizzas? You can get it at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys. Or how about a cotton candy burrito at the Cardinal’s Stadium in Arizona? Listen to the podcast at the bottom of this page to get more information on this burrito and other over-the-top foods you can get. Beware though, some of these treats are pretty costly.
The Toy Hall of Fame nominations are out! We love covering this every year because there’s toys that have not made it into the Hall of Fame yet, that you would think would’ve already been in there, and there’s a few that always make us go, “what?!” Some of this year’s nominations include, “Apples to Apples,” the card game “Phase 10,” “Hess Trucks,” and “My Little Pony.” Winners will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in November.
We also discuss 2000s pop culture fun facts (we found a list!), dive into your answers to last week’s Facebook topic: “If you could work at any television/sitcom workplace, which one would you choose?”, and of course, Luke has your recurrent dose of “Did You Know.” Get the full stories in the podcast below.
And without further ado, it’s time to get into Naomi’s Under a Rock Review. And it’s an…. interesting one this week. Luke has wanted Naomi to watch the Austin Powers’ movies for quite some time, and she sat down and watched the first one back in Episode 82, but now it’s time for the second one – Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me. Naomi gets to meet Mini Me for the first time, and a few other “unique” characters. What does she think of the movie? And will she get through the review as Luke can’t help himself from quoting all the jokes? Find out for yourself, in this week’s podcast episode here:
Original Air Date: September 23, 2024
