We are almost to triple-digits! Welcome to Luke and Naomi On-Air: The Podcast. Thank you for joining us for episode 97.

If you’re new to Luke and Naomi: On-Air, hello! We’re a former married morning show team that have traded the radiowave for internet waves. We still do a lot of our radio bits like a weekly topic that we ask you to participate in, and discussion of a variety of stories, but we also have added Naomi’s Under a Rock Review. Luke has seen all the movies. Naomi hasn’t seen any. So, she watches the classics (like “Tombstone,” “The Sixth Sense,” and “Good Will Hunting”) and reviews them! You can re-live your first watch of these movies through Naomi’s eyes. We have another great Under a Rock Review coming up. But first, a couple of things…

We apologize for being off for a couple of weeks. We got sick and then Naomi completely lost her voice (which doesn’t work well when you’re trying to host a podcast). But we’re back! And ready to get into this!

We talk about our 100 episode plans. And the timeframe of where that 100th episode is going to fall, considering we are getting into the holidays and will be taking a couple weeks off for that. But we’ve got plans! And we’re getting them together, so stay tuned.

And if you haven’t noticed, we posted our political attack ads on our YouTube Channel. We actually made these in 2020, and ran them on election day in New Mexico. But seeing as we just had an election, it made sense to bring these back up. Check them out:

Speaking of our YouTube Channel, we also have a new Sips and Snacks video coming! In honor of Thanksgiving, we made our way to Flaming Amy’s Burrito Barn and picked up their Churkeychanga (which is basically a Thanksgiving meal in a burrito, and then deep-fried). We brought that tasty treat to Fermental, and had Ashley Rogers pair a beer and a wine with it. Be on the lookout! We’ll have that video available in a couple of days.

And last little update since Podcast Episode 96, we had mentioned that we went out Halloween weekend and it was a last minute thing. But the place we went was having a costume contest, so we threw together a quick Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson outfit. Well, we won! That’s right – Bragging rights for first place in Broomtail Pub and Arcade’s Costume Contest. Thank you to everyone who jumped on Facebook to vote for us! We really do appreciate it.

We have the list of inductees into the Toy Hall of Fame for 2024. A couple weeks ago, we went over the list of nominations, but now we have our big winners. Congratulations to the card game “Phase 10,” “Transformers,” and “My Little Pony.” Apologizes to the trampoline, which was nominated, but didn’t make the cut, along with a few other toys.
