WE MADE IT! HAPPY EPISODE 100 of Luke and Naomi On-Air: The Podcast! Thanks SO much for joining us!
If you’re new to Luke and Naomi On-Air, welcome! Crazy to be jumping in at episode 100, but hey, whatever floats your boat. Either way, we’re happy you’re here. We are a former morning show team that have taken our show to the internet. We’ll still cover a lot of the goodies we did on our radio show, like a topic that you get to be involved in, as well as various stories and articles. We also feature Naomi’s Under a Rock Review. Luke has seen all the movies, and Naomi hasn’t see any! Re-live your first watch of classic films like, “Rocky, “Ghostbusters,” and “True Lies,” through Naomi’s eyes. We’ll have another Under a Rock Review for you, coming up in just a bit…
But first, let’s get to a couple of things…
We had mentioned we had some surprises for Episode 100. The first one of course, being the big movie for this episode, Naomi will be reviewing “The Godfather.” But we also have a few other surprises. This website! We have officially announced this website – LukeandNaomi.com. Just one more place to get all your Luke and Naomi content. And finally, WE HAVE STICKERS! Fancy, Luke and Naomi On-Air stickers. We’ll have some for sale in our online store shortly, so stay tuned.
We’ve got your “Airport Rules” for life. You know how anything goes at an airport – You can have a beer at 7am or you can sleep on the floor, or whatever you have to do. Well, to deal with stress and anxiety, you can suggest “airport rules” for the time being or for your household, and it basically means anything goes! Maybe it’s been a long workday and you don’t want to make dinner, so you call “airport rules,” and everyone can eat whatever they want for dinner. Someone can pick at snacks, maybe someone else makes a frozen pizza. Anything goes! Sounds like a good idea to us!
Now we’re going to make you feel a little old, sorry. We have a list of pop culture moments that are turning 10-years-old. Did you know the movie Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 came out 10 years ago? Or the Apple Watch debuted in spring of 2015? Hear the full list in the podcast episode at the bottom of this page.
Did study hall ever really exist or was it a myth? Naomi thought it was just a thing on tv shows and in movies, and not actually real. We dive into this, along with collectible items that aren’t really collectible (and you should probably just throw them away), and Luke has your recurrent dose of “Did You Know.”
And now it’s time for Naomi’s Under a Rock review. We went big for episode 100, and watched one of the highest rated movies ever. Re-live your first watch of the 1972 crime film, “The Godfather.” Does this movie still hold up? Is its high ratings correct or is it overrated? Did Naomi enjoy the movie? Find out these answers and more in this week’s podcast episode here:
Original Air Date: December 16, 2024
