Welcome to another episode of Luke and Naomi On-Air: The Podcast. Thanks for joining us!
If you’re new to the show, hello! We’re a married morning show team that have brought our antics from the airwaves to the internet. We have various topics and stories we discuss, Luke has his dad jokes, we have an idea or question we want you to participate in, and Naomi has her “Under a Rock Review.” Naomi hasn’t seen any movies and has (as she refers to it), lived under a rock her whole life. Now, she’s watching all the classic movies that everyone has already seen. Re-live your first watch of favorites like “The Sixth Sense,” “Rocky,” and others, through Naomi’s eyes. We’ll have another Under a Rock Review coming up in just a bit.
But first, we have a few things to get to…
A new list out online (probably Reddit, or something), is naming the old people habits that the younger generation is adopting, because they’re good ideas. Things like napping, and running errands early on the weekend to beat the crowds. We dive deep into this one and find out, well, we’re basically old people. Naomi has even adopted the word “supper,” and wants it at four-in-the-afternoon. How about using a lap blanket or heated blankets? Yep, we’re guilty, too. Check out the full list in the podcast episode at the bottom of this page. (09:17)
A 10+ hour flight is rough enough. It’s long, exhausting, and you just want to be at your destination. But what if there was a dead person in the seat next to you? It seems so crazy and unrealistic, but that’s exactly what happened to a poor couple. A woman passed away during the long flight, and they needed to put her somewhere, so they placed her in the empty seat next to the couple. They had to sit next to the deceased person for more than four hours! How would you handle this situation? And why did they have to place her in that specific seat? The story is in the video below (16:48)
Luke also has your random facts – Your recurrent dose of “Did You Know,” and we discuss your answers to our topic from last week, “Where do you brush your teeth?” You may think it’s a straight answer, but after a survey suggested some people brush their teeth while using the toilet, we had to open up this can of worms.
And of course, we have another “Under a Rock Review” for you. This week, Naomi sits down to watch the 1996 rom-com starring Tom Cruise and Renee Zellweger, “Jerry Maguire.” Did she like the movie? How well does it hold up? And what did she think about the “show me the money” scene? Find out, in this week’s episode of Luke and Naomi On-Air, right here:
Original Air Date: March 10, 2025
