We’re back with another segment of Luke and Naomi On-Air: The Podcast. Thanks for joining us for Episode 108!
If you’re new to Luke and Naomi: On-Air, welcome! We’re a married morning show that has taken our radio show to the internet. We share a variety of stories, always have a topic to discuss, Luke has his “dad jokes,” and Naomi has her “Under a Rock” movie review, where she reviews classic movies that everyone has already seen… except her. Re-live your first watch of favorite films like “Rocky,” “Peter Pan,” and “Ghostbusters.” We’ll have another “Under a Rock” review coming up.
But first, a couple of things to get to…
When was the last time you saw a McDonald’s Play Place? What did it look like? Did it have a ball pit? Or were there McDonald’s characters that you could play inside and around? Well, a McDonald’s in Tennessee is going viral for their “modern” Play Place. It’s pretty depressing. Check out the picture and the full story in the podcast video at the bottom of this page.
We also discuss a crazy conspiracy theory about Jim Morrison, the lead singer from The Doors. There’s a new documentary out that claims he’s actually alive and well, and is living in Syracuse, New York. We’re not buying this one. Why would a rich, famous, rockstar move to Syracuse?! The story goes that Jim Morrison faked his own death, met this guy named Frank and decided to assume his identity. Because…? Yeah, there’s too many holes in this one, but the documentary, called “Before the End,” is out on Apple TV+
Last week we posed a very important question on our show and on Facebook (and TikTok, and everywhere else), “What’s a ridiculously fun word to say?” We already know Luke’s crazy answers from “tabernacle” to “dongle” and everything in between, but we go over your answers, and Naomi jumps in with her favorite, fun word. Hear all the answers in the podcast below.
And we have our “Under a Rock” movie review for you. This time, Naomi gets ready to catch Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker in the 1998 action/comedy film, “Rush Hour.” How did she like it? Does the movie still hold up today, some 20-plus years later? What was her favorite part? Get the full scoop (and then some), in Podcast Episode 108, right here:
Original Air Date: March 18, 2025
