Well, hello! Thanks for joining us for another Episode of Luke and Naomi On-Air: The Podcast. Welcome to episode 117.

If you’re new to Luke and Naomi, we are a married morning show team, who traded our radio waves for the internet. We still run our “show” like we did in radio – We have a topic we ask you to be a part of, we have our weekly dose of “Did You Know,” and share interesting or trending stories we’ve stumbled upon. But we also have added some new things since joining the interwebs. We post more short videos and stories on our YouTube Channel, we have our “Sips and Snacks” series, and every episode features Naomi’s “Under a Rock Review.” Relive your first watch of classic movies like “Ghostbusters,” “True Lies,” and “Apollo 13” through Naomi’s eyes – As she watches these classics for the first time. We have another great review coming up…

But first…

Quick update around the Luke and Naomi home – The patio/porch garden is still growing well (and Naomi is keeping her distance… sort of). A couple of peppers have been harvested, and the strawberry plant is growing strong. Frog Hotel is also doing well with a long-term resident that had showed up a couple of weeks ago and have made this his home. BUT… The sad news is, we’re going to have to dismantle the hotel. If you’ve missed the news, we are getting ready to move.

Speaking of moving, that means we are going to be gone for quite a few weeks. We have a lot of big things coming up – We are moving, Naomi is starting a new job, we are having a special 5-year anniversary vow renewal, AND we have family coming in to town. It’s going to be a busy couple of months, but it will just be a break. WE WILL BE BACK!!!

For now, we’re still here! We’ve got a couple of things to get to and an awesome movie review.

Of course we have your weekly dose of “Did You Know,” – some random facts to get you through until our next episode. And in honor of our movie review of “Inglorious Basterds,” we talk about actors and actresses that have been hurt, kidnapped, or otherwise traumatized while filming popular movies.

We also talk about the latest crazy (that’s just plain stupid), called “water-based cooking.” This “new” trend that some younger adults believe they have started, is just boiling or steaming your food. Major breakthrough. But we have some fun with this one. Check out the full story in the podcast video at the bottom of this page.

Naomi has another “Under a Rock Review” for you. This week she sits down to watch the award-winning 2009 movie from Quentin Tarantino, “Inglourious Basterds.” What did she think of this one?
