It’s been a while, but we’re back with another Sips and Snacks episode. This time, we crash Fermental’s “Hallowine” event to pair wine with different Halloween candy, and of course, we throw some beer in there, too.

Our “Sips and Snacks” feature takes us to the one-of-a-kind bottle shop, Fermental, in the Cargo District in Wilmington. Each episode, we bring Ashley Rogers (aka the Beer Guru) a new snack that he has to pair a beer and a wine with. We’ve done Little Debbie Zebra Cakes, Lucky Charms Cereal, Double Stuft Oreo Cookies, Cool Ranch Doritos, and more! We even did a Taco Bell episode!

This time, we have a variety of candies to pair with a variety of wine and beer. These are the Halloween candies that you probably have lying around right now! We’re talking about Snickers, Reese’s, Butterfingers, Twizzlers, and others.

For most of our Sips and Snacks videos, we introduce our snack, then Ashley pairs that snack with a beer and a wine and explains why the pairing works. He also explains what type of beer and wine will work (that way, if you don’t have access to that specific brand or kind, you’ll know what you can subsitute instead). Then we do a little taste-test and discuss the pairings.

This video has quite a few candies and pairings. And is a lot longer than our usual Sips and Snacks feature. So, we’re going to give you a little cheat sheet (but you should still watch the whole video because Ashley makes some bold predictions on which pairings Luke and Naomi will like best).
