Happy New Year! And welcome back to Luke and Naomi On-Air: The Podcast. Thanks for joining us!

We kick off this episode with a short recap of the last couple of weeks. Naomi had family in town, and they had to drive through a bad snowstorm to get to Wilmington. They planned on arriving on December 23rd, but because of the weather it was about 3am Christmas morning when they were finally able to get in and check into their hotel room! They all were able to celebrate Christmas together – the first time in almost 10 years! While the family was in town, we were able to do more touristy things we haven’t gotten a chance to do yet, including a boat tour on the Cape Fear River, and trying Tandoori Bites (an Indian Restaurant with rave reviews). But the best part was probably taking the family to the beach, where Naomi’s dad got to see the ocean for the first time, while her sister and mom collected sand and shells. We also dive into the fun, unique, and unexpected gifts we received from the holidays, including the package that was in the studio that Luke’s mom had brought over a month ago! You know, the package Naomi wanted Luke to open SO bad before Christmas… And we talk about how we spent our New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, complete with our first annual Polar Plunge!
