Luke and Naomi On Air

For the second leg of our Costa Rica trip, we drove down from the mountains, back to Liberia, where we caught a shuttle that took us down the coast to Mal Pais. We watched the scenery change from mountainous, jungle vegetation to coastal greenery. It was BEAUTIFUL.

Our adventures in Mal Pais included swimming in the Pacific Ocean, watching our friend David catch some waves, eating even more delicious and exotic food, riding four-wheelers through the beaten paths, hiking an interesting (and slightly difficult) trail to a waterfall, and visiting a brewery. Our Airbnb was perfect with an awesome pool where we could lounge around and hear all the different birds and even howler monkeys.

This area was more bustling than the first part of our trip, but we saw and met tourists from all over the world. We spoke with a German woman on the beach who wanted to see a snake, and we listened to live music from a band that originated from Argentina.
