Luke and Naomi On Air

It’s another installment of Luke and Naomi On-Air: The Podcast. Thanks for joining us for Episode 65!

Oh man, this should be an interesting one… for many reasons. First, we’ve both taken some cold medicine and having been fighting off something for quite a few days now. We sound a little out of it, and we are a little out of it – That should make for an amusing show. We may go off the rails here, we’ll see! Also, Luke will be doing the “Under a Rock Review” this time. That’s right, we found another movie Luke hasn’t seen, that most people have. That will be coming up towards the end of this episode, but we have a handful of things to get to first…

We discoved that we give up around the same time every year. Hold on for this crazy train of thought – So, in the Taco Bell app, you can see all your past orders. Every order in the app since you began using it. We decided to get Taco Bell a couple of weeks ago because, the holidays are busy and stressful, and sometimes you just need that comfort food that’s easy. Going through the app, Naomi found that we order Taco Bell around December 12th, every single year. We’ll go spans for six months without eating fast food, but apparently in December, during that specific week, we’re getting Taco Bell. At least we’re consistent, right?!

We talk about Christmas decorations, and describe some of the photos that were sent into our Facebook Page, like Mr. and Mrs. Snowman’s lego village. We also talk about Luke getting more pairs of tongs for Christmas… The collection continues to grow out of control.

And we get into our New Year’s plans for both New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, which includes a very fancy meal at Seabird in downtown Wilmington, with menu items we’re not even sure how to pronounce. And of course New Year’s Day we will do our new tradition of our “Not-So-Polar Plunge,” and will be jumping into the Atlantic Ocean at Fort Fisher Beach. Come out and join us! Of course Luke has your weekly… well, maybe monthly at this point…. your occasional dose of “Did You Know” – Some random facts to get you through until our next episode. We also discuss your answers to our last Facebook Topic – The worst Christmas gifts you’ve ever given (whether it was on purpose or an accident).

We switch it up again for this episode’s “Under a Rock Review.” Luke climbs back into the hot seat to review a movie that Naomi has already seen, but he has not. In honor of Christmas and the Holiday season, Luke reviews the 1946 classic “It’s a Wonderful Life.” Has it held up over the years? Did Luke enjoy it?
