We are back with another installment of Sips and Snacks, where we head to our favorite bottle shop in Wilmington and meet with Ashley Rogers who pairs a beer and wine with our snack of choice.
In this episode of Sips and Snacks, we bring the salty, corny flavor of Fritos to Fermental, to see what beer and wine our adult beverage guru, Ashley Rogers, will find that compliments those crunchy bites.
We decided to go with Fritos after our adventures in Asheville, North Carolina. Shoutout to Chip and Tiffany that we met at One World Brewing. We told him about our Sips and Snacks feature, and told him that we would feature Fritos in one of the upcoming episodes – So here we are!
Ashley Rogers chose a rice wine, Sake, for one of the options to go with the Fritos. He mentions this option will help bring out the saltiness and corn flavor of the snack chips. For his beer choice, he made a unique decision. Ashley chose a dill pickle sour beer. That’s right, a beer that’s going to take like pickles. He explained this option is going to make it feel like you’re eating a sandwich. Grains, bread-like, and pickles.
