Sips and Snacks – Craft and Cuisine in Downtown Wilmington

Ceviche from Ceviche's paired with a beer from Bill's Brewing Company during "Craft and Cuisine" 2025

In this segment of “Sips and Snacks,” we get the opportunity to sample a bunch of different bites from local restaurants paired with some delicious beer from local breweries.

Usually our Sips and Snacks adventures take us to Fermental in the Cargo District of Wilmington. We always meet with Ashley Rogers who pairs our snack of choice with a beer and a wine. Well, this time we give Ashley a break and make our way to Live Oak Bank Pavilion for FEAST Wilmington – Their “Craft and Cuisine” Event. This event had eateries like “Beat Street,” “Rebellion,” even “Apple Annie’s Bake Shop” and “Boombalatti’s” ice cream, teaming up with breweries like “Good Hops Brewing,” “Waterline Brewing Company,” and “Flytrap Brewing,” to make a sipping and snacking experience, unlike any other.

Check out the video to get a look at this year’s amazing event:

Original Post Date: April 2, 2025

Here are the restaurants and breweries that teamed up:

Oliver’s on the Cape Fear + Good Hops Brewing

Ponysaurus Brewing Company

Front Street Brewery

Banh Sai + Makai Brewing Company

Rebellion + Waterline Brewing Company

Boombalatti’s + Outer Dunes Brewing

Wrightsville Beach Brewery

Marina Grill + Drumtrout Brewing

Los Portales Taqueria + Flytrap Brewing

Nothing Bundt Cake + Hi-Wire Brewing

Platypus & Gnome + Ironclad Brewery

Small bites included crab rangoon grilled cheese, fried chicken and chorizo gravy on a homemade grit cake, beer cheese and smoked peppered bacon sliders, mango char siu bao buns, tuna tartare tostada, even ice cream made with a stout! Sounds delicious, right??

There were so many options this year, we couldn’t make it to them all (although we did try). Naomi’s favorite pairing was Los Portales Taqueria and their al pastor tacos with onion, cilantro, pineapple, and a smokey salsa on corn tortillas, which was paired with a smokey Mexican-style lager from Flytrap Brewing. Perfecto!

This year was even better than last year! And last year was an amazing event, too. You can check out the FEAST Wilmington Photo Gallery 2024 here, and you can check out last year’s Sips and Snacks FEAST video here.

Cheers to another unbelievable event in 2026!

[…] First, we have to brag about our weekend. We got the opportunity to go to Feast Wilmington’s “Craft and Cuisine” event at Live Oak Bank Pavilion. It was Ah-Mazing! Local restaurants teamed up with breweries to make small plates that paired with craft beer. The pairings were so well done, the beers quenched our thirst, and the food was phenomenal. Check out the full story and see the video of the adventures here. […]
